Ricky Nixx is an American Film Director, Producer, Editor, Composer, Screenwriter and Podcast host from New Orleans, Louisiana. Upon graduating High School in May 2009, he worked several jobs on film sets paying his way through college in New Orleans.

Deciding college wasn't right for him at the time, in August 2010, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Serving in the Submarine Corps, Ricky was stationed out of Pearl Harbor, HI. After being Honorably Discharged in 2013, he moved to Los Angeles, CA to attend The Los Angeles Film School. Choosing to focus on Film Directing, he graduated with honors in September 2014, and currently resides in North Hollywood, CA.

Ricky considers directors such as Stanley Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino, Spike Lee, Kevin Smith, Baz Luhrmann, Billy Wilder, Christopher Nolan, Nicholas Winding Refn and Jean-Luc Goddard as his biggest influences as a filmmaker. His favorite film is “Leon: The Professional”. His former projects include his video blog entries, film reviews, and podcast, DEFIANT GIANT RADIO.
